I had the good fortune of finding Gallus detox at a time in my life when I really needed some help. The folks at Gallus were welcoming, accommodating, and kind when I was feeling desperate and hopeless. Detox can be a miserable and humiliating experience, but the staff always treated me with dignity, and made sure I was comfortable. Great staff and Dr. Gallus made daily visits. The food comes from local restaurants, so no institutional cafeteria here. Private rooms with wi-fi and cable, and you can keep your phone and tablet, all of which is very unusual for a detox. (Unfortunately, I have a lot of experience in this) It's like detoxing in a 4 star hotel with a very accommodating staff. My time there( both Prescott and Scottsdale locations) was a very positive experience. Getting and staying sober is a lifelong and challenging experience, and starting that journey with so much support was helpful. I recommend Gallus very highly. I've been clean for a couple of years now, and I'm grateful for the help I received there.

I have only the highest praise for Gallus Detox of Scottsdale. I have visited five times now and it has been an excellent experience every time. It is not even comparable to other detox programs, and you can read between the lines to know that I have some experience in this regard. A couple of my stays other patients were saying "this is expensive, right?". It is not. The price for 3 days will be what you pay for the first 2 hours at Banner Health, for example, and I have proof positive of that. Even if the cost was higher, and it isn't, the bottom line is that you don't leave your dignity at the door. No paper clothes, no padded observation rooms, no rooming with others in side-by-side beds, no confiscation of your clothes or books or wearables or other treasures, or of your electronics and other comforts. I could go on. Simply put, you check in, are made very comfortable, and you leave with a new shine in your eyes and a hope that you can put as many days as possible between whatever you checked in for and today. If you are looking for Detox this place is 2nd to none. The staff is nothing short of amazing and the experience was magical and made it as easy as humanly possible. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A DETOX CENTER this is the place to go! This place has perfected their methods and it works wonders. Give them a call today to get help! They order in food daily from local restaurants, so the food is good. I went for in for Heroin/Heavy opiate use Detox and couldn't have had a better experience. Gallus is not your average cookie cutter center they treated me like family and most of them actually spend more time up there than they do with their own family because they really do care that much. I came here from Texas and stayed for methadone detox and was there for around 2 weeks. It was the best decision I have ever made in my life. They gave hope when I didn't have any left when I looked through close to 200 websites and called a bunch of them I got the same answer "We don't take anyone who is above 40mg of methadone". GALLUS DETOX was the only one that would take me in and my anxiety went away the minute I was picked up from the airport. You have access to 2 nurses 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Their main goal is to get you through this first step of recovery as safely and comfortably as possible and work tirelessly to get you to where you need to go after detox. The way they go about the withdrawal symptoms were second to none since they have I.V. that deliver your medicine to get you through the worst parts with very little discomfort. I kept thinking every day that my withdrawals were going to kick in really bad but they never did due to the approach they made for me which is done from scratch with every person that comes through the doors here and helped me with specific medication in my situation after leaving. You can bring your cell phone, tablet, and laptop. You have internet access and the food is amazing since it comes from all the good places to eat around the area. This is a place that feels like home you have a private bedroom but are always under the best care in the country. This is the exact opposite of most detox/rehab centers that are out there. The 2 weeks I was there I watched probably 8 people come in and leave a completely different person in a very short time but methadone takes 3 times as long to get out of your system than other drugs. There is no stress to be found here so you can concentrate on this very important step. I have back problems so they were able to let me have a really big recliner delivered since I can't sleep laying down. I got the best haircut I have ever had while there as well as the best massages ever.Thi They will stay till late in the night to make sure every step is covered from the second you step in till the moment you leave. They are blessings in disguise that gave me my life back and others as well. They are the most beautiful people inside and out I have ever met in my life. The staff at Gallus Detox are exceptional and go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and provide the patients with tools and knowledge for success. I know this because I am one of the Registered Nurses that work here. When people arrive they are always pleasantly surprised with how nice the facility is and how our policies allow our patients to feel like they are at home vs a detox where you are just a number. I never thought I would be working as a Detox Nurse, I am ICU trained and thought that was where I would be forever. Now I cannot imagine going back to a hospital! Dr. Gallus and all the staff are all very involved in the patient care, we do not just give you a cup of meds and keep our door closed.
